Come and experience our difference

We specialise in small, familiar homes for 6-10 residents that look, feel and function like real homes. This model aligns with the National Aged Care Design Principles and Guidelines, as well as recommendations from the Royal Commission, which have recognised the superior health outcomes linked with smaller, more personalised environments for people living with dementia.

People who live with us follow their own routine. They are actively involved in daily life, while being supported by trained team members, called Homemakers, who are onsite 24 hours per day, as well as being supported throughout the week by our Resident Care teams.

FAQs

We are not a traditional residential aged care facility but yes, you do ‘move in’ when the time is right. A Videri home is a real home. It looks, smells and feels like home. In contrast to what can be an intimidating and anxiety-producing larger facility, we provide a small, warm, engaging environment, where people living with cognitive decline can feel ‘at home’. It is known as the ‘small household dementia care model’, sometimes referred to as a group home, which has been successfully adopted overseas in many countries for years and is thankfully becoming more understood and accepted here in Australia.

Absolutely. We encourage families to book a private tour of a home in their preferred area. This is the best way to see the environment, meet our team and ask any questions. Just contact us on 1300 015 406 or send us a enquiry via the form above to arrange a time that suits you.

“Thank you all for looking after mum for the past 18 months. I never thought she would adjust to moving from her home of 50 years which she loved so much. Arriving at the house to visit, seeing her sitting in her favourite spot in the sun, with the Homemakers looking after her, made me very happy”
