Our Neighbourhoods

Residents who choose our care live in one of our homes, nestled in local neighbourhoods – just like yours.

Our Sydney Dementia Care Homes

We are proudly based in Sydney, with Videri Australia homes located across the Eastern Suburbs, Hunters Hill, Hornsby Shire, North Shore, Northern Beaches, Hills District, Inner West, and Sutherland Shire. Our homes are embedded in local communities and are designed to feel, look and function like a real home, for familiarity.

We create inclusive expressive environments where individuals feel known, understood, and free to be themselves. From meals that feel familiar to spontaneous moments of music, movement, or laughter, we make space for self-expression, connection and most importantly, belonging.

We don’t institutionalise. We curate each home to our residents, creating real connection in spaces they find familiar, and where the resident and their family can feel safe, known and supported.

We honour each individual’s routine and in doing so we reduce distress and help the resident to find dignity and meaning in the everyday, just as it is.

Please contact us to discuss your specific care needs with our team.

“This is one of the best models of dementia care in an assisted environment that I’ve seen”

Helpful reading, when you're ready

Take a moment. When you feel ready, we’ve gathered thoughtful notes and real answers to questions we’re often asked, designed to support you through each step.

Recently referred to by industry and medical leaders as ‘the gold standard of dementia care’, our Videri Australia homes draw on best-practice international models that we have adapted to the Australian environment and lifestyle.

Whilst we are not a traditional residential aged care facility or regular nursing home, you can move in to stay with us for 24/7 support and care when the time is right for you. Whether it be for respite or for permanent ongoing care.

We specialise in small, familiar homes for 6-10 residents that look, feel and function like real homes. This model aligns with the National Aged Care Design Principles and Guidelines, as well as recommendations from the Royal Commission, which have recognised the superior health outcomes linked with smaller, more personalised environments for people living with dementia.

People who live with us follow their own routine. They are actively involved in daily life, while being supported by trained team members, called Homemakers, who are onsite 24 hours per day, as well as being supported throughout the week by our Resident Care teams.

We have homes located across the Eastern Suburbs, Hunters Hill, Hornsby Shire, North Shore, Northern Beaches, Hills District, Inner West, and Sutherland Shire.
Yes. All our homes are designed with dementia care in mind. Our staff are trained to support people living with memory loss, confusion or changes in behaviour. Each home provides a safe, low-stimulation environment that reduces distress and encourages a sense of calm and routine.
Absolutely. We encourage families to book a private tour of a home in their preferred area. This is the best way to see the environment, meet our team and ask any questions. Just contact us on 1300 015 406 or send us a Care Enquiry (link to form) to arrange a time that suits you.
We offer every kind of care including Assisted Daily Living, Complex Care, Short Term Rehabilitation Care, End Of Life and Palliation. You can have a day respite, a longer flexible respite with us or you can move in permanently, when the time is right.

Dementia care isn’t just about the person living with the condition — it’s also about the people who love and care for them. We understand that the whole family including the resident, needs more than just day-to-day support. Some of our homes offer flexible respite care, allowing carers to have the chance to rest and reset, while their loved one receives high quality dementia care and support. Respite care can also be a helpful opportunity to explore longer-term options and a plan for the future — always with the goal of ensuring the best possible quality of life as cognitive decline progresses.

There is one resident per room, however we welcome couples to live together and they have the option of sharing a room or each having a separate room. Just like in a traditional family home, some rooms have ensuite bathrooms and others share.
As often as you like! Visitors can come any time of the day at Videri Australia. We actively encourage the friends and other family members of residents to stop by for a visit, to take residents out for lunch, or to spend the afternoon with them at the local shopping centre. We appreciate that caring for a person with dementia can be challenging. Family visits can help people with dementia to maintain a positive mood and create cherished moments, which is why we encourage visits.
Our Videri homes have a keypad locked front door, and the backyards are enclosed. We provide families with the code to the door and encourage them to visit whenever they would like. The homes are secured, but residents can move freely around the home and gardens. Taking care of the home is everybody’s responsibility.
We see the person beyond the diagnosis – their history, their passions, their relationships. Everyone has lived a vibrant life before their diagnosis. We’re here to help you continue with that vibrant life, in new and meaningful ways. Whilst we help with the everyday and provide clinical care support, our larger focus is on social and meaningful engagement, inclusion and belonging. Our carers work with heart, to provide the best quality of life for our residents.
Our food is so good, family members often ask to join us for lunch or dinner. Sitting down to share food is one of life’s pure joys, and our Homemakers take pride in the food they prepare, and the tables being set beautifully. The meals are all freshly prepared in the home by our Homemakers, with the best quality produce which is delivered from local suppliers regularly. Our resident Nutrition and Wellbeing team work hard to ensure the meals are balanced and nutritional and that the recipes suit the individuals in the home and their fellow housemates. Our Food Safety Program and each house are licenced by the NSW Food Authority to ensure food safety, hygiene and freshness is maintained. We are subject to regular planned and unplanned audits. Some high-risk foods requested by our residents require clearance.
